Well, after almost two months of hard work, the two houses will be ready for the families to move in next week. When we left Santiago, yesterday, Saturday, the doors, windows and glass were being installed. The families are very excited to be in their new homes and look forward to having a permanent roof over their heads. The houses are complete with pozo for black water and running water in the houses themselves. The families have been living in rental housing since last November when Ayudamos arrived with Emergency Funding to assist the 'damnificados' from Panabaj. As usual, when having to say goodbye to the families, there were a lot of heartfelt speeches and a few tears shed. It is always bittersweet when a project comes to an end, but as usual there are more right around the corner.
